WHMCS is very useful if you have a web hosting business, but can also be used for any other kind of small business. Though it is focused to website business, WHMCS lets you define your own products and services.
For example, I’m using the “Billing Items” section to define my customers recurring items like web hosting or domain renewal or one time items, like technical support.
WHMCS has many settings, including specific local settings for taxes, currencies etc. You can define your own taxes for your specific country or state/province.
If you want to sell your services directly on your website, WHMCS lets you do that. You can use the Product/Service area to define all the services you need.
API Integration
WHMCS is integrated with over 100 API’s like domain registrars (eNom, Nominet, OpenSRS, ResellOne etc.) different payment systems (PayPal, Authorize.net, 2Checkout, Google Checkout, AlertPay, Manual processing etc.), Hosting Control Panels (cPanel, Plesk etc.) and more.
With the cPanel integration API you can import all your server customers and products at once, saving time comparing with adding each customer individualy to your billing system. In October 2012 WHMCS announced a closer partnership with CPanel.
WHMCS include many detailed billing reports. In your software dashboard you can view at a glance your system latest activity, upcoming invoices and more.

WHMCS includes different add-ons for its software like Licensing Add-on, Project Management, Live Chat & Tracking.
