About me and my projects

Hi! My name is Lucian Mihailescu. I am a web professional originary from Romania and living in Vancouver Area, BC, Canada since 2001.

I like to teach other people how to use the web for good, in particular I like to help people to use the web for the Gospel and for their personal or business needs.

Because I did a lot of volunteer work since 1997 (and for sure I will still do, as that is part of me!), my first thought to support my family and our Christian ministry was to find some ways to get more financial freedom. Internet has a lot of potential for online businesses, so why not try that?

So that’s how I got into the study of network marketing.

How all this started

In August 2008 I started to learn about online marketing and how to make money online. Then I got into network marketing, affiliate programs and so on.

I subscribed to a program that allowed me to have a Free Online People Search Engine.

I started to write a blog with Reviews about Affiliate Programs. Then this blog extended with different articles on marketing, technology, social media (Twitter, Facebook etc.), Google tools etc. and today my blog is called Lucian’s Marketing Blog.

Also I subscribed to a community of online marketers called WealthyAffiliate.com where two young Canadians built an online University related to online marketing. They also sell this e-book called “Beating AdWords”, which is a very good manual about how to advertise on Google AdWords and other places.

I heard about these programs before but I never trust these. I was very skeptical and I still think you should be very careful to avoid marketing scams, people that just want to sell you their junk.

I am now (December 2009) a member of Wealthy Affiliate (WA) for 16 months and I like to write more about this program that helped me to generate some income in the past year. It was a good start, but I realized that I can do more if I dedicate a website about the Wealthy Affiliate program. So that’s why I started this special website with WA reviews, to help other people understand how this program works.
