Guy Vaccaro
IT Developer/Trainer
Born in England in 1966 just 3 days after England last won the World Cup means that whilst Guy has been building his training experience across the Retail and Business world he has also been waiting for the impossible- another win for England. Luckily Guy having an Italian father, not only gave him Latin good looks, but more importantly another team to follow and Italy proved a stronger bet having won the World Cup twice during his time on the planet (and twice before 1966!)
After his degree in Italian and IT, the perfect combination, Guy ended up in the Retail sector and worked up through management until, making use of his ability to communicate with others, he switched to training.
Over the years these training skills have been honed in a variety of environments from shop floor to classroom to manuals to online moving from a purely Retail base to a wider IT skillset.
Guy refers to his own IT education as being from the outside in, rather than the inside out, that is he has learnt to use computers through their interface with humans and not from the binary code that creates the wonders of modern software. This outside in approach has meant that he has the ability to empathise with learners in whatever environment he teaches (classroom or online). An empathy that helps Guy to be patient and explain concepts and activities in a variety of modes to ensure that learning has taken place.
Over the past few years Guy has authored a number Infinite Skills titles ranging from the market leader in Business Reporting Crystal Reports through all the applications contained in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Outside of the working environment you will find Guy with his two children and their ponies being dragged around the length and breadth of the country to various Pony Club competitions.
